Fine yarns, gifts, wine, social crafting, Austin, Dripping Springs – The Sated Sheep

One of my newest obsessions is crochet. Thanks to my daughter’s influence, I was bitten by the yarn bug last January and have been hookin’ ever since 😉  In my search for a wider selection of yarns and a more unique color pallet than I could find at the local Wal-Mart, I came across The Sated Sheep in Dripping Springs, TX.  Click here to visit their beautiful website where you can purchase specialty yarns, notions and gifts.  I was not only impressed with their “Herd” providing a wide selection of eco-sensitive yarns but also with their brick and mortar concept of a gathering place for classes, socializing and community.  What a lovely concept!  I wish them great success.

If you find yourself in their area and decide to drop by for a visit, let us know by posting a pic to @totallytexasgifts on Instagram or Facebook!

Allison and her husband Ray are both Clinical Psychologists. Ray doesn’t knit but he finds it fascinating that Allison does. She learned to knit while her son attended the Waldorf School 23 years ago. He didn’t learn to knit, but with much trial and error, she did. She calls herself an imprecise knitter and loves every second of it! You can find them at the shop in Dripping Springs, where she has lived for 26 years.“*
